Info: Oringally located in King Street, the hotel relocated in 1885.
In early days it was unoffically as the 'Squatters Arms' because it was frequented by local pastoralists. For the First 3 months it was open it was called the Bricklayers' Arms.
This hotel is currently closed after a fire on the 19th of June 2000. The fire totally gutted the two story building. Tradgically this fire occured the night before major renovations were to start.
However the spirit of the hotel lives on with the opening of the Phonix Bar in the bottle shop, the only part of the hotel that was undamaged in the fire.
