Vehicles do not slow down for roadworks in Melbourne. And the VICTORIAN POLICE always seem to let this golden opportunity slip past them. This happens all the time - infact probably every road works I have driven through since moving here 5 years ago. Large pot of 'speed fine' gold to be made - easy pickings. But no-one seem to notice. Dont know why anyone bothers putting up roadworks signs at all.
Guess it must be a legal requirement.
You would think that Workcare might care... or the unions... guess not enough people are sufficiently injured for anyone to notice vehicles dont slow down. Do we really need another event like the tunnel accident a year ago?

ALSO Would be nice if the signs could be removed after the road works have finished... Wolf why dont you tell the nice folks about that time last year....
