Wishlist

Hopefully you will notice that this wishlist of things I want for the camera isn’t actually loaded with lot so of silly lens’ or things I would never use.  Sure a 500mm Prime lens would be very nice, even the 50mm AFS 1.4 Nikkor would be great.  But this is a hobby not a professional income stream.

Perhaps if you are putting together a wishlist for yourself you might want to think about it from this point of view.

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X (purchased Aug 09)
AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D (purchased Dec 10)
Nikon MB-D80 Battery Grip ( or D7100 version )
Manfrotto tripod (Purchased Nov 11)
Nikon SB-900 Flash (SB 700 version purchase June 11)
Sigma 150-500mm HSM OS Lens ( purchased Jan 11 )
2x Teleconverter ( Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 AF 2.0x Purchased Feb 12 )
Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8D ED
AF-S DX Micro Nikkor 40mm f/2.8G
Cokin U960 Z-Pro Graduated Neutral Density Kit
Solmeta Geotagger Pro ( purchased Dec 10 )
Sigma 18-35 F/1.8 ( purchased Nov 13 )

Now would love a D800e, but my new D7100 is cutting mustard for the moment.

One Response to “Nikon Gear”

  1. After 200 mm, things get real snvexeipe.THE lens for your trip is really the 200-400 mm f/4, but it costs about 5x your budget. So you may want to look at the 70-300 mm VR lens as a compromise, but well within your $ 1,000 budgetBe sure that you get your new lens in plenty of time to road-test it for a few months before you attempt to use it in the wild
